LUBBOCK, Texas — Luis Carlos Montalvan, a decorated Iraq war veteran who became a good critic regarding the war and published about it, has died in El Paso. He was 43.
El Paso authorities Sgt. Enrique Carrillo on Monday said Montalvan had been found in a college accommodation in downtown El Paso late Friday.
“a notable author and speaker was discovered dead inside a downtown accommodation on Friday evening,” Carrillo stated in a declaration.
“Central local Command officials responded to the Indigo resort on a welfare check,” he added. “The officials entered the hotel room and discovered the body of Luis Carlos Montalvan.
